Registering your Linkedin Account with IRM Newsroom

LinkedIn is one of the distribution channels set up in Newsroom to post your announcements via social media. All you need to do is connect your LinkedIn account or page to Newsroom for a seamless process, as detailed in the instructions below.

To register your LinkedIn account with IRM Newsroom, navigate to the "Settings" option under the "IRM Newsroom" module in the HQi menu.

You will find options to register your social media channels, as seen below.

To register your LinkedIn account, please click “Log in with LinkedIn” below the LinkedIn logo.

You will then be asked to login to your LinkedIn account via the following screen. Enter your details and select the "Allow Access" button to continue.

After logging in successfully, you will see the following message. Notice that the red cross under the LinkedIn logo is now gone and a green check mark has replaced it.

Important: One LinkedIn user can have personal and business/company accounts associated with his or her login. This next step makes sure that IRM Newsroom is linked to your correct company account and not your personal profile.

Once you have entered your LinkedIn login details and returned to HQi, hit the "Refresh" button in the "LinkedIn Targets" section.

Next, you will be given the option to link your personal profile or your company page to IRM Newsroom. Mark the relevant checkbox and tap "Update."

Once you have clicked "Update," you will now see that the company page sits underneath the "LinkedIn Targets" section and is successfully linked.
